Nestled in the Highland Lakes recreational area, roughly an hour northwest of Austin, in the charming and vibrant community of Sunrise Beach. This highly recreational and residential town is on the shores of Lake Lyndon B Johnson and offers water-based activities for residents. Boating and fishing are almost year-round. The Texas Hill Country is home to a selection of wineries, hiking and horseback trails, museums, and more.

A quiet charm is found in this area, with a laidback lifestyle and plenty of natural beauty. Surrounding you are gorgeous views of the lakes and hills, nature reserves and parks, plus tons of wildlife. Homes range from luxurious lakefront estates with private docks and stunning views to quaint lakeside cottages with plenty of charm. You'll also find a selection of sprawling Texas ranches situated on large, tree-filled lots with plenty of privacy. Whatever your preference, Sunrise Beach is sure to have something for you.

This town will provide the oasis you've been looking for, a highly residential community that offers residents a chance to immerse themselves in the quiet serenity of nature and lake life while staying close to many high-end amenities. With an assortment of water-based activities like boating and fishing to plenty of nature trails and museums, there's a bit of something for everyone. You won’t have to travel far to find plenty of other things to do and enjoy either, with many larger cities near.

 

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Sunrise Beach is predominately residential and does not offer a vast selection of shopping and dining options. You'll find a small selection of convenience and grocery stores but will have to travel to a neighboring town for most of your needs. Honey's Coffee Bar provides you with your morning cup of joe, and Mosca's is a family-friendly pizza joint that you'll love, but most of your options will be found elsewhere.

A quick trip into Kingsland or Marble Falls will provide you with everything you might need and desire.
Marble Falls offers a charming downtown with plenty of boutique shops, cafes, upscale restaurants, entertainment, and more. Kingsland has tons of local history, lovely cafes, and gorgeous scenery to enjoy along the way.
 

Things to Do

There is much to experience in Sunrise Beach, especially for those that enjoy a vibrant, outdoor lifestyle complete with a selection of water-based activities. Those who enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, and more will love living on the water and spending their days casting off their private docks. You'll also find plenty of golfing in the area. The community often holds special events for residents, like movie nights in the park and ice cream socials, which are always a hit with families. Residents enjoy the space at McNair Beach park to hold picnics and get-togethers along the water. 
Nearby there is a selection of wineries that provide residents with a chance to experience some of the finest wine Texas has. You can also enjoy learning more about the local area history at places like the Colorado Museum in Marble Falls and Fort Croghan Museum in Burnet.

Adjacent cities also offer their selection of annual celebrations like AquaBoom in Kingsland every July fourth and the many events and amenities at the nearby Horseshoe Bay Resort.
